			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The multi award-winning Northwest Football Awards is back for the third year, once again celebrating the region’s increasing footballing prowess.</p>
<p>The 2008/2009 season saw the Premiership title stay in the region for the third year, retained by Manchester Untied who also scooped the Carling Cup. In addition Burnley had a fantastic season with their triumph at Wembley earning them promotion into the Premier League.</p>
<p>For suppliers to the  football industry, the 2008/09 season was of equal success  with reports of growth in revenues, greater innovation and a stronger sense of social responsibility than ever before all contributing to another, high-profile and competitive Northwest Football Awards 2009.</p>
<p>The categories for this year’s Awards that will be judged by a prestigious panel of sporting experts including Alan Myers, Gordon Taylor, Paul Thorogood and Maurice Watkins are as follows:</p>
<p>•    Community Scheme &#8211; Project of the Year<br />
•    Community Scheme of the Year<br />
•    Best Club Marketing Campaign<br />
•    Best Club Sponsorship<br />
•    Most Innovative non Match-day use of a Football Ground<br />
•    Northwest Suppliers to Football</p>
<p>The Awards dinner will be held on Tuesday 17th November 2009 at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester.</p>
